Health can be improved on 3 levels:
Energetic.
Mechanical.
Chemical.
DIET
Some argue that our ancestors lived predominantly on plants...
PLANTS
- Human's have survived through ice-ages where very few calories from plants can be obtained.
- Leaves contain few accessible calories for humans. Around 99% of plants are toxic to humans. The other 1% can be tolerated to a certain dosage.
- Plants can't run away so they defend themselves with poisons.
- Domesticated plants (fruits and vegetables) have less poisons. These new varieties didn't exist through most of human history.
- Humans have very acidic stomachs.
- Humans have very short, low energy digestive tracts compared to herbivores.
- Humans have very high fat, high energy consumption nervous systems that require calorie dense foods.
- There are no essential carbohydrates but there are essential fats and proteins.
- Grain based cultures facilitate slavery.
- Eating only fruit & vegetables sends people crazy.
- Grain is used to fatten animals (and humans)
- Traditional cultures carefully prepared grains and vegetables to make them less toxic. (See Weston A Price's work)
- Hyperinsulinaemia - high insulin, is the most logical driver of lifestyle disease. Plant foods drive this condition.
- Plants are valued in many cultures for their ability to irritate the body to create a cleaning / poisoning effect eg. garlic to kill of parasites in the gut etc. The medicine man could heal and kill with his plant magic. Modern medicine comes mostly from synthetic versions of plant molecules. (Many from the Amazon.)
MEAT
Meat was abundant according to reports of early colonisers of the Americas, Australasia etc.
- The Mongols conquered most of the known world on an animal based diet dominating grain based societies. They were able to fast for days and starve out the places they would take over because of their fat adaptation and strength.
- Domesticated animals carry more fat than wild animals. We bred them to be more fat and docile because that made them more useful.
- Tribes people valued fatty meat and avoided hunting lean animals.
- Plant foods were often seen as a last resort to keep away starvation or a way to make the meat go further.
- When meat is abundant there is less disease and less need to poison out disease with plant medicine.
- Everything needed by the human body is found in the bodies of other animals when consumed nose to tail.
- Traditional cultures valued stock, broth, blood, fish eggs, brains, liver, bone marrow, heart, reproductive organs, kidney fat above muscle meats.
- Chickens and pigs turn grains and waste products from farming, household food and turn it into fat and protein. This creates better food than what we started with (grains and waste) but not the pristine meats of wild animals or ruminants (grass eaters).
- Cultures who consumed a lot of sea-food were often strong and smart.
- Raw dairy (goats, sheep, cattle, camels) was foundational in some cultures. Pasteurisation was a commercially driven change (longer shelf-life, less care for the cattle).
- Dietary fat has very little impact on the immune response.
- Dietary proteins from meat very rarely cause food intolerances. Generally when they do it's because the gut lining has been severely damaged by plant foods. Fasting and using a meat based diet can reverse this condition.
Salt is essential for robust health. Those who keep plants and animals make minerals available to avoid disease and allow growth.
Nothing grow without sun and water.
All food was organic until very recently in human history.
We drank chemical free water ran down the mountain and from natural springs.

The evidence suggests that humans are suited to a meat based diet with some people doing better supplementing that meat based diet with more carbohydrates than others.
Those who's ancestors lived closer to the equator and those with more robust health are likely to tolerate more plants in their diets.
Carbohydrates can be seen as a performance enhancing drug to be used cautiously around key events. In excess they create a cascade towards lifestyle disease that inhibits recovery and performance whether the disease state is reaches or we move further along that continuum.
Carbohydrates then become a double edged sword that can help us gain weight or have more energy at a time of extreme challenge (especially ultra-endurance). The metabolic ability to operate on a low carbohydrate diet is something that humans should consider.
LIGHT
Blue light is causing significant damage to humans.
Light cycles of circadian rhythm are fundamental to great health.
Red light has significant therapeutic effects.
Vitamin D is essential for optimal health, immune function and performance.
Strong immune function is the foundation for muscle growth.
WIFI & Electromagnetic radiation exist and will impact weakened organisms most.

AIR & BREATH
Breath is one of the most direct ways to influence the nervous system.
Mouth breathing and low CO2 damages health and creates sympathetic dominance.
