Josh’s programs start with ramping to a heavy set of 1-3 bench press repetitions. 3’s at early in the phase, 1’s later in the phase.
 
He’ll then use 1-2 other bench press variations before going into chest, back and tricep isolation movements.

Improve strength off the chest:
  • Option #2: Paused Bench Press

Josh uses 6-12 week training cycles to hit a new max with “reload” every 2-6 weeks. Training frequency is also individualised.
 
Deadbench from 1-2 inches off the chest if you have longer arms. Start closer to the chest if you have shorter levers.
