4 reasons why the Paleo diet will work for you
I decided to eat according to the paleo diet after reading about Weston A Price travelling the world and discovering that people eating their traditional diets all around the world were much healthier than people eating modern foods in Europe. I was motivated to improve my health and work hard to become an inspiration for people around me to take control of their health. The paleo diet was a big help in working towards these goals!
Here is why paleo works!
- Decreased consumption of allergens means less immune system activation and inflammation – The most probable reasons why people get amazing health and performance results on the paleo diet is because they’re eliminating many of the foods that cause inflammation and activation of the immune system. These substances include but aren’t limited to gluten (from wheat, rye, barley and contaminated oats), casein (from dairy products) and lectins (mainly from beans/ legumes). Over consuming the same foods and a damaged intestinal lining will cause similar problems with allergies and inflammation.

- Decreased toxic load –Another main factor for why the paleo diet works is that by going back to traditional foods the number of chemicals we ingest (from preservatives, colours etc.) on a daily basis can be greatly reduced. Choosing organic and small farm local food suppliers will help with decreasing toxic load, increasing the nutrient content of your food and decrease the pollution that is turning a pristine world into a toxic one.

- Better regulation of insulin and other key hormones –Insulin and many other key hormones such as DHEA, testosterone, estrogen, leptin and cortisol function better on the paleo diet. These improvements come from lowering the stress level placed on the body via toxic load and allergenic foods as well as through better nourishing the body.

- Nutrient dense –Finally the paleo diet when done properly provides more vitamins and minerals than any other mainstream diet plan, leaving your body better nourished and with the resources to rebuild itself.
