Congratulations to Kieran and all the players named for the 2012 summer olympic games. I’m lucky enough to have played with or against most of the squad at some stage and I’m sure that they are building towards a great campaign for gold.
I envy their opportunity to work with Ric Charlesworth, a great athlete in his day and one of the great leaders in modern sport. His books “The Coach” and comments I’ve heard from him over the years have been a great inspiration to me first as a player and now as a coach.
I love seeing others achieve their dreams and with Kieran, and a lot of the guys in the squad, I’ve seen the years of thankless hard work purely for the love of the game that has now become a gold medal opportunity.
I’m with you guys and if there is anything I can do to support your journey I’ll be happy to contribute.
