I don't recommend microwaves.
 
Use a camping-style stove if you're on a job site and you want warm food.
 
Heat your food in a pot or a pan on a single cooker.
 
Have an esky with ice if needed to keep meat cold or marinate like they did in India in the days before fridges.
 
Raw meat is great.
Boiled eggs are great.
Jerky and pemmican are great.
 
Getting a MASSIVE broth pot and doing a month or two worth at a time is a great way to go about including broth routinely.
