Programming Strength By Spiral Logic

What if you thought about the different UNCOM colours in relation to what you were trying to develop in yourself and the people you work with.
 
Programming strength based on colours might look like:

Red dominant lifters can’t get motivated unless there is a maximum something. Pushes the boundaries of technical failure or actual failure.

  • Build to MAX load (top set)
  • Compete by attacking the opponent.
eg. 5/3/1 program, John Broz Style Squat Everyday,

I AM FREE - VOLUME.

Blue dominant lifters just do what’s on the paper. They get a tonne of work done and they get crazy strong.
  • Dense Strength
  • Time Driven.

I AM VALUED - PROGRESS.

Orange dominant lifters will test the empty bar and if it doesn’t feel like a good day they will leave it and come back the next day to test.
  • Establish a new record then stop
  • Compete to win
  • Auto-regulation.
eg. CrossFit individual workouts, Westside Max Effort Day (stop after a record, can be more red depending on execution), Bar speed based auto-regulation

  • Team strategy workouts
  • Coached workouts
  • Form Focussed (must be flawless to increase weight)
  • Mind-Muscle connection focus
eg. CrossFit Teams, Relay races, Feel based body-building (Frank Zane Style), group fitness classes where everyone is in it together.
 

I AM LIMITLESS - UNIQUE & ADAPTABLE

  • Components of each of the colours combined originally.
  • Cameleon - Change the session live as needed .
eg. Use range specific strength, evolve new movements and unique combinations.
