10 Facts About the VMO
1. The VMO - Vastus Medialis Oblique - is the teardrop-shaped muscle which is closer to your knee than any other:

5. Ironically, KNEE OVER TOES and FULL BEND are the 2 positions most trainers and doctors are falsely teaching us to AVOID, without any evidence to back them up, due to a 1978 Duke University study which found that there is more pressure on your knee in these positions. The opinion was to avoid these positions. The statistics since that point: KNEE PAIN AND SURGERIES SKYROCKETING TO EPIDEMIC LEVELS.
 
This conclusion to avoid KOT and full-bend simply leaves us VULNERABLE. Life is HARD. Either you prepare for real-life NOW, or you avoid your weaknesses and increase your chances of DISASTER later on.
 
6. The actual evidence ONLY shows that the BETTER you are with your knees over your toes, and the BETTER you are at full bend, the more PROTECTED YOUR KNEES ARE!
 
 
 
7. The overwhelming majority of trainers and doctors have simply been TRICKED into believing opinions and are now either not aware of, or in denial of, the actual evidence and statistics. This is NOT all doctors and trainers. For example, nearly 1000 trainers now use Knee Ability with their clients, and well over 50 doctors are now using Knee Ability with their patients, with the same reports of now being able to produce real knee results for their clients and patients.
 
 
I just wanted to be clear that I'm NOT anti-trainer or anti-doctors - I'm ONLY anti-UNTRUTH. I am not generalizing entire fields, only presenting you with facts and real solutions. Unfortunately, this sometimes requires DE-educating on FALSE DATA.
 
8. ATG has devotion only to the actual physics of the situation, with zero bias for any previous teachings. This has resulted in greater devotion to the VMO and to the other key protective knee muscles. I did not set out to be obsessed with the VMO, and the ATG system addresses your entire body in even ratio. However, the VMO and other key protective knee muscles are among the most neglected, so they stand out as unorthodox in the ATG system. Really, these unorthodox movements are simply part of 25 different movements for every key aspect of bulletproofing your entire body against the most common pains and injuries.
 
 
9. You can decide for yourself if these two facts are related:
  • My personal devotion to the VMO and other key protective knee muscles resulted in me doing more dedicated training for them than anyone in history, with over 10,000 reps completed in each Ankle and Knee Essential.

  • In the past 2 years, ATG has conducted more real-world knees-over-toes research than any exercise science study in history with: 1) more users, 2) more precisely-measurable levels, and 3) FORM COACHED - meaning more use and precision than any knee exercise study ever done, with the form actually coached on over 100,000 sets.
 
Keep in mind that "studies" DO NOT = EXPERT COACHING! Coaching is a key missing link in exercise science. Look: "exercise science" only means "what has been studied by the people in that field thus far."
 
It does NOT encompass what the leading coaches in the world are doing.  And by nature, exercise science is usually 20-30 years behind the best methods, due to how long it takes for studies to slowly occur (with sloppy form and many other potentially misleading factors!!), and for the billion-dollar college textbook industry to slowly reproduce itself without killing its own profits.
