Cells all have receptors.
Cell receptors become less sensitive and fewer in number if the receptor sites are used too much.
All hormones should be pulsed to be used optimally.

Yin Hormones

Testosterone / DHEA
We can increase yin hormones through great sleep and being calm and controlled throughout the day. Diet will also impact hormones.
The ability to relax and be calm is key for performance.

Insulin: Cortisol

Cortisol is a key hormone for energy liberation. We want it to be higher during training and then lower after training.
Insulin is a storage hormone for electrolytes, amino acids, sugar, etc.
Insulin decreases cortisol.
When people are stressed they self-medicate with sugar to decrease cortisol.
